    Dr. Nielsen, an obstetrician and gynecologist, joined the Women’s Health Care Service at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont in 2011. 

    Dr. Nielsen’s clinical focus is in the areas of low-risk obstetrics, gynecology and minimally invasive surgery. He specializes in Essure tubal ligation and endometrial ablation. Dr. Nielsen also manages obesity, hypertension and gestational diabetes.

    An instructor in the department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Dr. Nielsen’s research interests include obesity and pregnancy.

    Dr. Nielsen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
